English fansubs [Sep. 13th, 2013|01:00 am]
Simoun Livejournal Community

Anyone still alive here?
I have a strong impression that Russian subtitles for Simoun are far from being correct. I understood the opening only after reading the English text, for example. So I would like to find the subtitles that American fans have made. The links in this community are already dead... Where to download this version? Or, maybe, there is someone kind enough to share?

Hi from Russia [Mar. 5th, 2013|10:07 pm]
Simoun Livejournal Community

I suppose I'm the only Russian member of this community :) My English is not very good, so I'm sorry for possible mistakes. If there are any French-speaking members, it would be great, 'cause I speak French fluently.
I don't watch anime very much, but recently my friend advised me Simoun and I was really impressed. Awesome graphics, awesome music, and many moments that appeared very close to me. I dare to say that Simoun drew me out of depression...
So I join the community just to say hello to other Simoun lovers :) Don't know which tag to choose, sorry.

Otakon 2012 Meetup [Jun. 15th, 2012|10:50 am]

I was on tumblr posting about this, so I figured it should be posted here too.

If anyone is going to Otakon, I want to host a Simoun meetup. I hosted one last year and though it was small, we had an absolute blast. Three of us were in cosplay and other fans joined us too. Cosplay isn't required for this meetup, just fans that love the series. Our cosplays last year were all in pilot gear- Aaeru, Neviril, and Morinas.

This year I'll be Aaeru again all weekend, and will be adding Aaeru's green pilot suit to my lineup. I'll also be in Sibylla pilot gear and priestess dress as well, carrying around my large Aaeru plush.

If you're going, we should meetup! :)

There is currently a Simoun RP starting on tumblr. I was asked to join yesterday, and I thought I'd share the link with others in case anyone else wanted to join. This one starts 3 weeks after the first episode, and from there on out, it's up to the players to create the story.

Information can be found here: http://s-i-m-o-u-n.tumblr.com/info

Main characters still needed: Floe, Alti, Kaimu, Vyura, Dominura, Yun

Supporting characters still needed: Guragief, Onashia, Halconf

Fic: 'Endless' [May. 21st, 2012|01:14 am]

Title: Endless
Fandom: Simoun
Wordcount: 3,544
Characters/pairings: Yun, Plumbish Military Governor, postmortem Rodoreamon/Mamiina, mentions of the rest of the cast.
Summary: Through more wars and more crafts and assaults, the Keeper of the Spring remains as she is. But even that which never changes must react, sometimes, to that which does.
Warnings: Mentions of massacre and children as collateral damage, implied suicidal ideation. Religion. Lots of angst. Spoilers for the whole series.
Notes: A few references to the OP and ED titles, and to Nazuka Kaori's written thoughts on the series, at the end. Thanks to the tracks for being called what they're called and to Nazuka for being Nazuka.

When the announcement goes up that the Argentine government will be recalling its contingent of the occupation force from the capital she is twenty-one years and eleven months old, and looks the same as she did at sixteen and nine. She was too busy, too wrapped up in the world of the dead and living light, too eternally there (as opposed to anywhere, and not elsewhere, as she had once thought), to have done much to prevent it; it had happened before and by Tempus Spatium it would happen again. )
